This canvas has been built up from layers of material, to enhance the impression of depth. Once the layers of material were put together, the surface was embellished with ribbon, string and beads of hot glue.

To give the surface of the work added texture, sand was added to the acrylic paint before being applied to the picture.

A metallic rub is finally applied to the painting – reflecting light on the artwork, giving it a shimmering effect.
