This composition was inspired by a recent visit to ‘Yorkshire Lavender’, Terrington, North Yorkshire. The colours of the flowers and the memory of the lavender perfume have been captured in the design of this canvas.

Strips of material have been lovingly sewn together, incorporating hessian to create depth. The canvas has then been stretched and covered with a variety of acrylic paint colours, before finally being embellished with wool tops, beads, 3D dylon paint and layers of glue.
